Grief Reiki® Card Reading

Tags :

Here is the Grief Reiki® Card Reading for December. The Grief Reiki® Card Reading was my way of trying to pull together comforting thoughts and words for a griever in a non-traditional format. The approach is to Pick-A-Card that jumps out at you. Whatever number comes into your head first. Or just go with your gut. Now read the message corresponding to the card you picked.

I have found we usually get the message we need to hear most.

Today's Messages (1)

Card Deck (Angels)

If you picked Card #1: Today’s message reminds you that Archangels Michael and Azrael are always there for you when you are grieving. Archangel Michael is is the supreme protector who guards against all effects of fear. He also guides our next step and helps us make important life changes. If you are having a tough time while you are grieving, call upon Archangel Michael to protect and guide you.  Known as a grief counselor, Archangel Azrael, lovingly consoles those who have lost a loved one and helps them heal from grief. If your heart is heavy with grief, call upon Azrael for healing and support. These Archangels want to help you with whatever you need. Don’t forget to call upon them!

Today's Messages (2)

Card Deck (Hope)

If you picked Card #2: Today’s message is a reminder that even though you are going through a difficult time in your life right now, there is always hope. Hope is listening to beautiful music. Hope is getting signs from your loved ones. Hope is recognizing synchronicities. Hope is feeling your loved ones next to you. Hope is believing in a better tomorrow. Hope is having a better tomorrow. Hope is feeling your heart begin to heal. Two wonderful quotes about hope are: “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness” by Desmond Tutu; and “Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today” from Thich Nhat Hanh. This card is a reminder that when we finally emerge from tragedy, it is amazing how much hope we can find around us. Don’t give up hope!

Today's Messages (3)

Card Deck (Time)

If you picked Card #3: Today’s message is a reminder that there is no timeline for grief. How many times have we all heard “time heals” when we are grieving? How many of you are still grieving after losing someone 5, 10 or 20 years ago? Does it hurt any less? Do you miss that person any less? Probably not. For some, the pain may get even worse. This card reminds you that there is no timeline for grief. It is a reminder you are on a grief journey that is yours alone.  Some days will be good. Some days will be tough. Don’t be hard on yourself. Accept the ups and downs. This is completely normal. Grief is something that you do at your own pace and in your own time. Don’t let anyone tell you any differently!
